Crossroads Care Wokingham the people carers turn to
Who do we help?
We are available for all ages of Carers and dependants and any condition that may require care in the home. The Manager is responsible for assessing the family needs and arranging to supply any practical help which may be required. At any one time, a large number of families are receiving regular help and relief, whilst others are getting help occasionally when there is a special need.

Who do we send to your home?
All our Carer support workers are employed professionals and fully trained. Part of our assessment is to establish the level of support the dependant requires and assign an appropriate Carer Support Worker.
How do we help?

We seek to provide help and support for the many people in the district who are able to live at home, only because of the constant support they receive from a relative or friend. Often these Carers never have a break from their caring role and face increasing stress. The danger signs of this may not be obvious at first but the strain can take its toll, particularly in an emergency, such as the Carer falling ill. If this should happen the dependant may then have to leave home temporarily or, possibly, permanently. Crossroads, by providing regular or occasional/emergency respite to the Carer, can help to avoid this situation.

How do we work?

Crossroads will provide a Carer Support Worker, either on a regular or ad hoc basis. They will attend the Carer's home and support the dependant, acting as a companion and friend, whilst the Carer takes a break. We can help any day of the week between 8.00 am - 10.30 pm. Variable times may be arranged and we also provide overnight support.
